More progress ok Retsu

I nebulously laid in the sword in brunaille  ( pretentious term for underpainting in brown  ) today . It wasn’t easy and this piece is taking much longer than I thought due to my lack of skills. I relied mostly on seeing 2 dimensionally the shapes and things to try and get accurate with the stylized and exaggerated anime figure proportions that’s not realistic to human proportions. Great practice.
