Painting rose bud tea

Some more progress today. I ordered some rose bud tea from Amazon just for this still life painting . The color it produced wasn’t good so I actually used cranberry juice diluted with water for the lighter red pinkish tone. Then I threw in the dried mini rose buds. Thankfully they stayed in place floating above the liquid without moving. I haven’t chosen the cover image for the sheet music book cover yet. Likely a master painting copy of cello theme. Rose petals looks nice also but I may need to buy real petals because these are fake so looks a little fake. It may mot matter as I paint loose. I’ll try painting one petal and see how it looks
